A John Carter trailer was released by Disney on July 14 and shown with previews for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The film adapts A Princess of Mars, the first novel in the Edgar Rice Burroughs series John Carter of Mars, a seminal influence on the comic book genre, adapted many times in comic strip and comic book form. The Comic Book Collectors Club will be featuring more material on comic adaptations of John Carter in the near future. Meanwhile, check out the trailer! The film is currently due out March 9, 2012.
