Comic creator and historian Trina Robbins mentioned on her blog recently that she will soon be releasing a book about Tarpe Mills’ (June Tarpe Mills’) character Miss Fury, the first major female superhero created and drawn by a woman, featured as a newspaper strip from 1941 to 1952. The 229-page book, Tarpe Mills and Miss Fury, collects the complete run of Miss Fury Sunday pages from 1944 to 1949, when the strip was at its peak. The book is edited by Robbins and features an introduction by her. It has not yet been released, but can be pre-ordered at Amazon by clicking below:
